Ray Powers has nearly 40 years of experience representing home sellers and home buyers throughout northern Virginia. He holds the coveted Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), GRI, and Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designations.
Ray is a Life Member of the Multi-Million Dollar Sales Club awarded by NVAR.
Ray has 16 years of past management experience, teaching and managing real estate agents in northern Virginia. He is a certified Pre-License Education Instructor for Virginia.
Ray holds a B.S. degree in Law Enforcement, as well as a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. He also has a Certificate in Leadership from the University of Virginia.
Prior to real estate, Ray served 10 years in patrol and investigations with the Fairfax County Police Department. In addition, he served 6 years with the D.C. Air National Guard, 113th Tactical Fighter Wing, Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland.
Ray enjoys the martial arts and is a 3rd degree black belt in the Korean self-defense art of Combat Hapkido. He enjoys time with family and church and is married to a retired Registered Nurse. Ray also enjoys singing and playing guitar. Also, Ray enjoys saltwater fishing and visiting the coast of North Carolina where he was born, and where his family is from.
Ray has listed and sold homes in Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax City, Fairfax County, Manassas, Prince William County, Fauquier County, Loudoun County, Herndon, and Vienna to name a few jurisdictions. He has lived in Alexandria (Del Ray, Virginia Hills, Groveton), Centreville (Country Club Manor, Chalet Woods, Virginia Run), and has helped major corporations, the government, law enforcement, and the military move their employees throughout the northern Virginia region.
